How to care for your candle
Always let your customers know that the first burn of a new candle is important.
Candles should be allowed to burn for 2-3 hours after they are first lit, until the surface area is liquified.
This will help prevent the candle from "tunneling".
After the initial burn, burn the candle for three hours at a time and then extinguish it.
While the wax is still liquid, bring the wick back to the center.
If the flame is too small, pour the liquid wax carefully.
Before relighting your candle, be sure to trim the wick (but not too short) to remove any 'bulges' in the wick, which will prevent black smoke when lit.
