The recovery shoe brand was developed in 2011 in Cohasset, Massachusetts over a period of two and a half years by a team of veterans involved in product development for athletes, trainers, and major shoe manufacturers.
Realizing that the world is full of shoes that have a high impact on the sole, but there are no shoes that absorb impact and are designed for recovery, they created OOFOS and became pioneers in recovery shoes.
OOfoam, a special material used in the product, reduces the impact to the sole of the foot from landing by 37%, unlike a typical EVA midsole, which is designed to generate forward momentum.
This reduces the strain on your knees, hips and back, and the ergonomically designed footbed gently wraps your foot and provides firm support for the arch.
